Let The Game Begin!!!

Paintball is a high adrenaline sport that requires strategy, field-leadership and teamwork. Players need to be cunning and resourceful. Heightened senses induce speed of thought and exemplify strength of character... "You've got to work fast. Your team is assembled, the opposition are in place and the hooter is about to sound. Everyone knows the plan. Now the time's arrived to put it into action.....BAAAAAHHH!!! Game on!

You move out as planned, cautious at first, peering into the huge underground labyrinth around you. Coloured lights spill from massive overhead arches, casting deep shadows across the roof. You stay focused as the team splits into three groups, two bank out, one left and your unit right, the central body stop and cover you. Next comes a loud outburst as a screaming kamikaze bolts deep within the opposition territory. It is not possible to make out exactly where, or in which direction they're headed. But then suddenly...silence! What happened? Were they shot? Was it just a diversion?

No time to ponder as a team-mate grips your arm and points out into the darkness at a movement. The unit instantly takes cover, and you dive behind a barrier directly in front and take aim. Your team-mates adopt hiding places behind pillars. There are three opponents coming straight at you, unaware of the danger they are walking into. You hold your breath and watch and listen hard, your heart pounding. (This is real fear!)

Wait...Let Them Get A Little Closer....
Now.....Fire!!!!

Yes! A direct hit on each member! You scramble out from behind a barrier joining your unit in full flight, passing the downed players and on into the unknown. Now you are on the move. Assuming an empty channel has been created, there may be a clear run to their base. You take the gamble. Darting through the shadows, crossing the space, in and out of the arches. Suddenly you come across two of the enemy guarding their flag.

Caught unawares, the first is easy to pick off but the second gets in a few shots as they're hit, taking out one of your team-mates.The flag is yours! But the game is not over - you have to get the trophy back to camp. In the heat of excitement you make a dash headlong into the middle of the arena straight for your base. Shots are being fired from all directions.

Your surviving team-mate takes a splat on the arm, but on you go at full speed, firing left and right into the darkness.

There in front of you is home - the Game is nearly yours!!..!!! SPLAT !!! Green paint covers your face mask! Gutted!!

But there's no time to feel sorry for yourself. These games have a fast turn around, and it's only ten minutes until the next one! Go get that visor clean!!
